Founded by Nirmala Narine, "A for Apple Foundation" (501(c)(3) status
pending) is dedicated to providing seeds, gardening tools and books to
vulnerable children near and far.
A for Apple educates children on how to organically farm as a first step toward gaining some measure of independence and self-sufficiency.
Sadly, in many cultures, once a child turns six the likelihood of them being adopted begins to decline.
A for Apple's mission is simple- we believe literacy fosters exploration, gardening provides children with some measure of self-sufficiency, while independence fosters pride and instills hope.
